Terms of use

Last updated October 8, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using Chalkwise. In short: use the tools honestly, check your work before you sign or submit it, and keep your own backups.

Who we are and what these terms cover

Chalkwise is operated by RLN Centerline Engineering (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when you use this website and its tools, including the class record, lesson planning, test, report, homeroom and school admin tools (together, “the service”).

By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it.

Who can use it

Chalkwise is made for teachers, school heads and school staff. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into an agreement. If you use it for your school work, you confirm that your school allows you to use online tools for that work.

Early access, pricing and changes to the service

Every tool is free during early access. A paid plan will start later. We will email people on our list before anything changes, and nothing is charged unless you sign up for a paid plan.

We may add, change, limit or remove tools at any time. Some features have daily limits, such as the number of saved copies or AI help uses each day. We will try to give notice before we remove a tool you rely on, but we cannot promise to.

Your content and your records

You own what you enter. Most tools save your records in your own browser, on your own device, and we do not keep copies of them. We use your content only to provide the feature you asked for, such as sending your text to the AI help to create a draft. The privacy policy explains the details.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the documents you create and submit. Please:

  • Check every grade, total, date and name before you print, sign or submit. The tools do the arithmetic, but you decide what goes in.
  • Check the output against your school’s required format and the latest orders from the Department of Education (DepEd). When your school’s official form is required, use that form.
  • Save a backup file regularly. Records stored in a browser can be lost if you clear your browser data, change devices or reset your phone.
  • Handle learner information lawfully. Names, LRNs, birthdates and contact numbers are personal information. Follow your school’s rules and the Data Privacy Act, enter only what you need, and keep your device and saved files secure.
  • Do not type learner personal information into AI help. Use it for lesson ideas and report wording, not for identifying learners.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

  • break the law or break your school’s rules;
  • create false or misleading records, such as changed grades, invented attendance or forged signatures;
  • attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorized access to the service;
  • copy the service at scale with bots or scrapers, or resell it without our written permission;
  • upload anything harmful, such as malware.

We may limit or stop access if we think these rules are being broken.

AI help

Some tools offer AI help to suggest wording or drafts. Suggestions can be wrong, incomplete or not suitable for your class. Treat them as a starting point and edit them. You are responsible for what you use.

Our work and our name

The Chalkwise name, logo, design, code and written content belong to us or to our licensors. You may use the documents you create with the tools for your own professional work. Please do not copy our branding, design or code, or present our work as your own, without our written permission.

No link with DepEd

Chalkwise is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Department of Education or any government agency. We mention DepEd only to describe the formats our tools follow.

No guarantees and limits on our responsibility

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to make it accurate and dependable, but we do not promise that it will be error-free, always available or suitable for every school. The disclaimer explains more.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost records, or decisions made using the tools. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

Suspending access

We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we need to protect the service or other people. You can stop using the service at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and we will email our list about important changes. If you keep using the service after a change, you accept the updated terms.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. If you have a concern, please email us first so we can try to settle it in good faith. If we cannot, the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction.
